January 2004 : CMF over 60 employees

CMF Group employs 60 persons in total.

September 2005 : April 2005 CMF opens its new subsidiary in China

CMF creates a subsidiary in China : CMF Yantai Hi-Technologies Co Ltd. This new investment is the result of a strategy to accompany the main purchasing decision makers on developing markets.

CMF Yantai Hi-Technologies Co Ltd. will focus its activity on the design and construction of special machines dedicated to the Chinese market.

October 2005 : Extension of Mécanome factory

CMF invests in its new Mécanome production unit with a 1700 m² floor space and a 4-axis machining centre. This new workshop will enable us to offer our customers a reactive, flexible and quality machining service.

CMF enlarges its assembly workshop for special machines ; we now have 2500 m² space to assemble our new machines and test prototypes.

CMF and Mécanome are major actors involved in the sector of mechanical subcontracting not only in France but also over here in the Auvergne region.

October 2005 : Visit of the Foreign Secretary

CMF welcomes Mrs Christine Lagarde, Foreign Secretary. This visit is in keeping with the project of competitiveness centre launched by the VIA-MECA Association in the Auvergne region.

This is the opportunity for CMF to present its expertise in the design and construction of special machines for the following industrial companies : Michelin, EADS, DCN, SNCF, GIAT, Trelleborg, Valéo.

May 2006 : Activity growth at the Chinese subsidiary

CMF gets a new purchase order from POTAIN for its production facility in China : an automatic welder in order to press the U-shaped irons and generate square profiles.

The project comprises the design and the fabrication of upstream and downstream storage racks, a pointing bench and a welding bench, as well as the integration of two sub-arc welding processes. After construction and completion of the tests CMF will run the installation and commissioning of the equipment on the Zhangjiagang site (Jiangsu province) located North of Shanghai.

August 2006 : Automatic seam welder for lighting poles sold to Saudi Arabia

Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co. Ltd just completed the reception of their automatic poles welding machine. Fitted with a sub-arc welding process (twin) and a 1250 Amps generator, this automatic welder has the capacity to weld a max. diameter of 850 mm and is suitable for round conical and tapered pipes, with single or double shell. This project also includes the design and fabrication of the loading system located upstream. During September / October CMF will be onsite in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for the installation and commissioning.

December 2006 : Assembly lines for the automotive industry

CMF delivers with full success the first assembly equipments to Plastic Omnium for the Automotive Industry.

July 2007 : Automatic welding machine

CMF delivers an automatic welding machine to Alfa Laval in Chalon sur Saône. This machine  integrates a new process using 4 TIG torches, with an oscillation and video camera for an easier control by the operator.

November 2007 : Complete lighting poles production line

CMF had the pleasure to supply a complete line for the production of lighting poles to the company SEWEDY in Saudi Arabia. The design and fabrication include the decoiling, straightening, length cutting, forming and welding as well as all the transfers, automation and control. CMF team is expected to be on the customer’s site early 2008 for the installation.

February 2008 : First machines dedicated to the oil & gas industry

CMF delivers its first machines in the sector of the oil & gas : four special machining equipments supplied to Serimax. They will contribute to the installation of pipelines worldwide.

March 2008 : MIGATIG

CMF opens up its new MIGATIG boiler works in the Ladoux industrial area. This 2000m² modern jobshop, thanks to its 12 experienced employees and a lifting capacity of 15t under 8m height enables us to fulfil our customers’ requests and the market demand for larger and high quality parts.

April 2008 : Purchase of JAMMES INDUSTRIE

The acquisition of the JAMMES company strengthens our position in the design and manufacture of machines in the sheet metal work. The JAMMES entity disappears but we keep the brand name, which is well known worldwide for its know-how and quality regarding its special roll bending Machine and welding Equipment.

2009 : Launching of “Les Jardins de Favinco”

CMF develops product lines for FAVINCO, products which are defined like vertical gardens and take the shape of a NORIA or PERGOLA.

Principle : the vegetables are cultivated in double-skinned vertically moving jardinières. The gardener works ergonomically and has a working cabin at his disposal.

As a method for growing plants and a huge decorative display, the NORIA multiplies the space for cultivation and becomes a floral monument.

June 2010 : Development of Laser welding

.

Development of a new line of poles welding machines using the laser welding technology. A welding speed of 8m/mn could be tested.

September 2010 : CMF opens a new office in Shanghai

.

CMF carries on with its international development and opens a sales office in Shanghai. Our goal is to strengthen CMF commercial position in China, a very promising market for the supply of machines in the next few years.
