Laser welding process

How laser welding process works

Laser welding is done by a concentrated heat source with a very high power density, several megawatts per square centimeter.

The penetration is greatest when the focal point is a little below the surface of the workpiece.

The use of laser welding

It allows deep and narrow welding at a quick pace. It is often used in the case of very large volumes of production in industry.

There are two modes : pulsed and continious, respectively, used for thin materials and used for thick materials and welds of stainless steel.

This welding process causes changes in the basic structure of the metal as any methods of fusion welding of metal. It is only minimal in the order os several millimeters.

It is easily adapatable to automated welding machines.

CMF offers this high-tech way for your special welding machines.
