Profiling machine

Special Profiling Machine
CMF has conducted several machines using profiling process:

Profiling consisting of a plastic deformation of a billet is preheated and forced by compression through a hollow tool.

The extrusion process can be used to production sections in full (bars or rods) solid billets through plate .

Tubes and hollow sections can be shaped by extrusion through bridge or needle (for certain alloys). Hollow sections and seamless tubes must be produced in using either hollow or solid billet on a needle and a piston.

Direct profiling: the operation from a billet preheated, place it in the hot part of the press called container. The billet is then forced  by a piston. Then the flow of metal moving in the direction of travel of the piston. With this process, the billet creeps along the walls of the container and offset effort creep ram pressure must increase. Part of the material is scrapping the end of the cycle and is ejected from the press during the dead of the extrusion process and will be recycled later.

Indirect profiling: a process that the billet slides in relation to the walls of the container and there is no relative movement between the billet and the inner wall of the container. There is no friction generated inside the container and the metal flow is more uniform and tends to improve the uniformity of the workpiece in its entire length. The pellet is discarded and will also be recycled.
